In short: A lovely run spoilt with poor organisation and muserable marshalls.
In full: ^ toilets for 700+ runners is not good, no loo roll, no soap to wash your hands and quite dirty.
The course is nice but not one person cheered or clapped, no encouragment and a few catty coments from a marshall at the end. Not one I would choose to do again.

In short: Great location, challenging run.
In full: The location certainly made the race - not often you see a tank driving round while you race, and some of the hills were pretty special! Would have less fun had it been wet.

While there weren't enough toilets, delaying start by 20 minutes because of the toilet queues only meant that those who'd got there in enough time were left standing round getting cold before the start.

Though I'm chuffed with my time, that's tempered by previous comments which suggest the distance was short - shame.

In short: Not bad for a non 10K!
In full: I always enjoy supporting local races and local good causes, so if nothing else hopefully the Stars appeal will have done really well.

However, either my Garmin is wrong or I am going stupid, but did anyone else notice that the course was about 3/4 mile short of a 10K, only 6 toilets for over 700 runners and thier supporters! On the up side the parking was very good and the course was very challenging and scenic, the dog tag medal is a great idea.

In short: Great day hard race in places
In full: Very challenging course in places but if you keep a steady pace for the first few hills and not get taken away at a fast pace to start. Then just go for it on the last few kms you will soon make it up (because you will find every one slows down at the end:)

In short: Some nasty little hills to keep you honest
In full: Well run and a good course, although the first 2km is all up hill. Could be nasty if it had been a freezing November, but as it was it was glourious. Although I did not do the 3km fun run, runnning 10 laps of 300m would have made me lose count! Perhaps a bigger loop and less laps would be a good idea.

In short: Amazing event, I will always enter this one. Organisers wereso friendly and made the day the best . Fast route with some wicked hills and puddles. .
In full: My first race and my best. Other runners were friendly and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. If you srtuggle someone is there to cheer you on and get you motivated. The best I've done out of 20 other events.

In short: My first race and found it really enjoyable. I thought that some of the markings were short especially between 8k and the finish. Wsa really suprised at my time but reading other comments this was probably down to the course being less than 10k!
