In short: Good race, but too much road/hard-surface for my knees !

In short: A nice morning out
In full: Good course with plenty of variety, mildly disconcerting to run by MoD land to the sound of gunfire :-) Excellent medal. Lakeside itself not especially welcoming but I suppose runners are a bit different from its usual clientele. Organization was smooth and the odd distance guaranteed a pb!

In short: Gorgeous weather - but more than 12k!
In full: Lakeside Race - billed as 12k, which I thought was about 7.5m but was actually 8.35m, or 13.5k.
Was quite pleased with the time, as it was very nearly a 10 min mile average.
Race itself was 'undulating' (one hill in particular reduced me to walking - it just seemed so long!) and was road out and towpath back. Scenery was lovely, other people lovely, marshalls lovely - maybe could have done with more than one water station, or for the water station to be further through than 3.5m. Enjoyed it though - would consider again.
