In full: Challanging with the hills, but a really friendly and very well organised race. Oranges at the end were a great touch. I havn't done an out and back before but was fun seeing the head of the race coming the other way!

In short: A race of up's and down's that leaves you on a high!
In full: Really well organised race that was thoroughly enjoyable! Quite hilly, but the scenery was beautiful. A piper at the start and water stations was a nice touch. Wish I'd done some hill training but will definately be back next year to enjoy it all over again. A special thanks to the lady in the green t-shirt who kept me going in the last mile! If you're unsure about doing it, I defy you to regret it!

In short: Another fantastic event - great organisation and warm local support!
In full: Another great event. Friendly atmosphere with good local support - even bagpipes at the start and water station! The oranges at the end went down well and real coffee (and bacon rolls)- from Doyles Deli and even a shop this year (Wonderland) make this an event with a difference. A success overall...

In short: "Undulating" 10K in fantastic scenary. Great for newbies and regulars alike!
In full: A fantastic 10K race in Balfron. An out & back route - undulating, but predominately downhill for first 5K and uphill the way home. Definately should have done more hill reps in training :-) Lovely support from the locals and very well organised with chip timing, medal, T-shirt and goodie bag. Orange segments at the end were a nice touch. Field of around 550 with a mix of abilities meant there was enough space to run, but you were never on your own. Definately one for next year!!

In short: An excellent race for runners of all abilities.
In full: As my first 10k race, and one that I had barely prepared for, I was apprehensive. But it was a brilliant. Everyone was very supportive and the route was spectacular. Before the 10k, I ran purely to improve my fitness and found it a chore, but after the Balfron 10k I found I really enjoyed running something I really didnt expect! What I found surprising was the range of abilities within the runners and I think the race is accessible for everyone, and I would recommend everyone runs this race AT LEAST! once.
