In full: This was my very first race, and doing it in leeds was very special to me as I was born there. I loved it, and got very emotional running through the streets of leeds town centre. Back again this year, and cannot wait.

In short: Too many complainers
In full: Reading the reviews I notice there are so many comments about congestion. That is to to expected as it is a popular event which is aimed at raising money for Jane's charity. It is not mean to be a limited number of runners for speed and pb's.

Considering the size of the vent, it was managed very well indeed. What really caused problems was the 'average Joe' who thought the rules did not apply them them and ignored marshalls, jumped wave colours etc.

In all a brilliant event and very well organised by a huge team of unpaid volunteers.

If you want a real challange with a hard little hill at the at end, try search runners world for 'Filey Bay 10k' on October 19th. This is an inaugural event, with free entertainment, all you can eat pasta party the night before, and possibly the best goody bag of all time.

In short: Bit congested at the start, too many runners not enough space. Butt soon spread out. Great race for a PB. Definattely back again next year
In full: With so many runners this year, it was going to be big. The weather was superb, the start was a bit cramped to say the least. But once you got through you could get down to business. Will do again next year no doubt. Excellent atmosphere.

In short: Great atmosphere, a true 'run for all', a good tribute to an amazing woman
In full: Loved this race as much ths year as last. Excellent organisation and atmosphere throughout. Only problem was I was too far back to hear what was going on at the start. There was a couple of bottlenecks at the start and at the turnaround point on Meanwood Road but nobody seemed to mind. I still managed to improve my time from last year. Even the sun made an appearance again. Well done and thanks to Mike & family and all organisers and volunteers

In short: Fun, but just felt it was lacking a bit in the organisation at the start/finish.
In full: Hey, don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the run (despite being 2 minutes off my PB :-( ) but it just felt like hard work getting in to the starting area and back to the meeting point at the end. Maybe because it was organised more by Leeds City Council rather than a running group? (Slightly officious guys in green jackets didn't add to the atmosphere!)

And just a practical note - the chip collection at the end could have done with being a bit clearer - gave mine to a woman wandering around with a black sack who was saying "chips, chips"!

In short: My first 10k - really enjoyable (apart from the wind tunnel that was created by the narrow city streets!) and lovely atmosphere with lots of support from the crowds and other runners .
In full: Good for 1st time racers, as a wide range of runners of varying abilities all raising money for charity, so really supportive atmosphere and masses of inspiration from the faster runners down to those who walked it! A bit hilly, but hey, this is yorkshire and it's got to be expected but nothing too dire! Lots of drinks stations after the first 4k (watch out for the gatorade stand - the road gets sticky!) Nice t-shirt but big big que for the baggage collection, but gave you more time to soak up the atmosphere and eat the chocolate raisens :-)

In short: The race route and course was great. The main problem was the amount of competitors and the entry system. There were no wave starts and everyone was thrown in together. My average 10K time is about 40 minutes, but with the amount of people you have t
