In short: Windy Windsor 5K
In full: The event was quite well organized to start off with. There were Marshals to guide us to the parking, registration and start.

The trail itself was a bit boring, much like a track --- thankfully the scenery was better!

The organization fell off a bit for 5K runners because the finish was slightly before the 10K finish line and Marshals seemed to have trouble differentiating between runners and thus couldn't have recorded times correctly.

I was slightly disappointed with the beverages --- cups of water and milkshakes! Also, as it was freezing on the day, complimentary hot food and/or beverages would have been nice and may have helped motivate.

There were some good runners out there who helped motivate the crowd and other runners along the trail. Last Marshals were also encouraging.

In short: Good venue quick course
In full: 1.The organisation was good, finding the venue was really easy having followed the directions from the event website. Race registration was fine, although the goody bag was ok but not brilliant. I didnt see any changing rooms, however there were of loos on site.

2.The course is flat and very fast. However there was a strong head wind to contend with. With good conditions then I think this course could be very quick.

3.Post Race, no energy drinks (that I could see) maybe a hot drink and a bite to eat would improve the atmosphere. Having said that I would deffo run here again. Although I would hope to run alot quicker than I did today!

In short: Designed for a PB
In full: Despite the fairly chilly headwind on the outward legs, this course has perfect PB potential. I set my PB here earlier in the year, and smashed it today by 55 seconds, so I'm well pleased.
The goody bag could have been better than a mars bar and a can of Red Bull, but the chocolate milk at the end was really welcome.
All in all, good fun and I would definitely do it again, specially as I only live 15 mins away.

In short:
In full: The course is fast, the setting is scenic. BUT the website gives virtually zero information (no directions, no info about bag storage/water/toilets ...), and the facilities were pretty basic. It wouldn't be hard to get these basics right, and then this would be really good.

In short: So flat it makes an ice-rink look hilly.
In full: Great 5 or 10K course for a PB, i'll be back to Dorney Lake again!

In short: Lacking in motivation, no encoragement to make it to the end. Maybe 4 marshalls, only one with the ability to speak or clap. Was the Mars Bar worth it? Probably not.

In short: race was ok. headwind wasn't fun. Some changing facilities or showers would be good. Hard to get to from windsor. Had to hitch!

In short: Flat course, made for PB attempts and nice runs around a lake. Head wind is a little arduous.

In short: Flat and scenic; a gruelling headwind is the only thing preventing a PB.
