In short: Very tough 15 mile offroad race, but very well organised
In full: This was my first time here. Middle section is very hard - muddy and wet, and those without fell shoes struggled, slipped and fell over!! Good organisation and excellent t-shirt - but not enough loos for this size of entry.

In short: Muddier than ever, rivers and pools of water..Everything that makes Benfleet a special racee
In full: Wow - hard 15 miles. Real multi terrain with some sea wall (although muddy in places. Little bits of road. And lots of mud across Downs. Think this was the muddiest yet and if not in trail shoes then struggled to get up a few slopes

Lots of falls in the mud and very testing for time of year - more a cross country race than anything else this year but thats partly due to all the water caused by recent snow and rain

Great organisation, nice finishers T shirt, lots of water stations and great marshalls.

This race is not a PB one its about getting round and enjoying the cammeraderie of other runners struggling in testing condition.

In short: Benfleet 15 great race - muddy, wet, slippy, great marshalls,
In full: This has to be one of those races to do before you die. It's hard, well not really, if you go off at a sensible pace then it is fun. I enjoyed running through the mud, puddles, running along the downs and just having a good chat with my team mates. Sorry to the Benfleet chaps for splashing them, but we Billericay Boys don't mind a bit of water!! Great race, brilliant organisation, love this years water features, and the t-shirt - well one of the best I have got from a race. Beginners who have done some distance runs will enjoy this change from pounding the roads. But don't worry about PB's this is not a fast course if the weather is bad! Can the Orion 15 beat it for mud..... can't wait to find out, bring it on. Thanks to all from Benfleet who turned out to help and make it a brilliant day. See you next year. Oh and thanks to the ladies who made a very nice tea for me before the race, and superb coffee after the race. The showers were hot and plentiful and not the usual trickle. 14 out of 10

In short: Bloody Brilliant !!!
In full: Great Race, well organised, muddy & fun. Friendly marshalls, good tea/cakes & great technical T-shirt. First time doing this - will definately be doing this again. It's not easy due to the muddy bits, but its fun & friendly.

In short: A perfect build up race for any spring Marathon
In full: My second time of doing this, and surprisingly considering the conditions I actually got round quicker this time.
I chose to run in road shoes as opposed to studs, as most of the terrain is pretty solid (road & sea wall) and didn't fancy running 15 miles with zero cushioning. This decision did make the 2 miles coming up to Leigh station and the little section after a little tricky.
But, great fun, and if I'm doing a spring marathon next year I'll be back!
