In short: Howling wind, pouring rain, steep hills, Loads of mud but great fun In full: Great race. Unfortunately due to the horrendous weather a sign blew away and the race was a bit shorter than planned. But hey stuff happens. Really enjoyed it and some of the fancy dress costumes were brilliant. Great way to kick off the year. Thanks Rob Date of review: January 1, 2014
In short: Yet agan a fantastc event! In full: A welcome return for me and the weather added to the bonkers occasion that is the Knacker Cracker. Thank you Rob and everyone else who helped stage the race in very difficult circumstances. As runners we appreciate the effort you put into it. The legend continues and I look forward to running my 5th next year. Date of review: January 1, 2014
In short: Endurance test of the year! In full: Oh my! That was the worst weather ever thrown at me for a 10k. I salute Rob, his family and all the marshalls who helped out with this event. Without them this would not have happened. Clearly not the best Knacker Cracker ever but still a good turnout and the spirits remaind high (ish) Date of review: January 1, 2014
In short: A short, hard and happy race In full: Pros: great atmosphere, wonderful views (even in horrible weather) and it really does feel like the toughest 10k in the country. Also a good selection of goodies and a nice medal help justify the price.
Cons: Very disappointed to only do 6km but I assume the weather caused that, and to be fair it was good to have a race at all. Date of review: January 1, 2014
In short: Great event, horrible weather In full: Thank you Dr Rob and the marshals for proceeding with the race in such terrible conditions. Special thanks to the gentleman from St John's Ambulance who kindly patched up my hand injury so I could finish the course, and again at the end of the race prior to heading off to A&E! Love Trionium races, and looking forward to Leith hill already! Date of review: January 1, 2014
In short: Congrats to Dr Rob once again In full: Despite the hideous conditions he managed to put on an event that will go down in history, be told in legend and is easily a candidate for race of the year. I've never laughed so much in an event ever. It was a fabulous start to the year and already I can't wait to do it again.
An extra special mention must go to the marshals who were absolutely fabulous in extremely testing conditions. Each and ever one of you was amazing. Huge thanks go to you all Date of review: January 1, 2014
In short: As hard as it gets In full: The weather made it a greater test of endurance than most years. The atmosphere and marshals make it one of the best. Thanks to the marshals and the lady with hot soup. See you next year Date of review: January 1, 2014
