In short: A Great day out despite the big hills
In full: Another challenging run by the Trionium crowd, but very well organised and lots of friendly support before the hills. Liked the names on race numbers so people actually cheered your name rather than a number. Good gifts at the end but all were trumped by a great full english. Would have prefered a slightly earlier start but all in all a great event.

In short: Great race
In full: This is a great race! I love the course and the all friendly runners. The organisation and marshals are second to none. Having your name on your race number is a nice touch, it’s such a boost when you hear your name – thank you to all those who shouted mine!

In short: A highlight of the year
In full: My third time and the slowest yet but a race I am prepared to get off my sick bed to do. Despite the pain, both during and afterwards this was a race day that I would be loathe to miss; this is one of the most beautiful parts of England to be hobbling around.

In short: Superb race in a beautiful area with some killer hills
In full: Brilliantly organised Trionium event. Tough race with great touches like the cooked breakfast afterwards, entertaining wife-carrying race before and quality medal, t-shirt and paper weight to take home. The only thing putting me off running next year is the price - I'd rather have fewer extras and a cheaper entry.

In short: Hilly challenging & different race
In full: This was one I entered after a few glasses of wine thinking I'd get the hill training in. I'm not sure how much would be enough! My tactic was to walk the steepest hills & make up the time going down, which I initially thought would not work as there were a couple of frustrating bottlenecks near the start (both up and down) caused by volume of people on narrow tracks or going down steps. However there was plenty of opportunity in the second half to bound down the hillsides if you were so inclined (though the lower paths are stony and there are always the hazards of mountain & trail bikes and walkers). Definitely in a class of its own, one to repeat.

In short: Just what my running mojo needed
In full: Great race, from start to finish. Hard course but that's what's so awesome about the race. Along with a real bond between the competitors who all look out and encourage one another.

Superb medal, t-shirt and paperweight. Not to forget the full English breakfast afterward.

From the parking through to leaving the race venue, it was well organised.

A truly unique race.

In short: Terrific vibe combine with a gritty hill run challenge
In full: The hills are murderous and though mostly in the first half, a couple of hills in the second half gives you no mercy! Its a fantastic run, wasnt too muddy and in fact was mostly stone and sand. running on downhill slopes require extra caution as most of the course are rough terrain. Once reaching the top of the hill, the views are spectacular.

The Marshalls were the most encouraging, humoured I've come across and there were plenty of them.

The goody bag was actually just 3 items but they were quality. The medal is a very nice large weighty item, a quality t-shirt that had all of our names on, and a 3d holographic cube ornament. Now, these I much prefer thanthese nonsense energy gels and bizarre edibles, and other useless stuff you get in your standard goody bag.

Absolultely recommend this.
