In short: AWESOME yet again
In full: well done Sleaford Striders, 3 years ago this event took my racing virginity and I feel duty bound to return each year.

Its a great half at the start of the year and the Xcountry section just adds spice to the event

Great goody bag and the long sleeve shirt just gets better each year and this year's is well classy

If I could only do a couple of half mara's a year THIS would be one of them no worry's

I'll be back next year anyone reading this and never run it mark it in your Diary and DO IT :)

In short: A well organised, friendly event
In full: Thank you for a well organised, friendly race. I didn't know a soul, but manage to chat to lots of people (especially in the long loo queue). The goodie bag, fruit, drink, t'shirt etc were very good considering the entry fee for the race.
I grew up in Lincolnshire but now live in Gloucestershire. Sorry guys, anyone moaning about hills needs to come over here to race -the Stroud half marathon is described as a flat, fast race but has steeper "hills" than Sleaford!

In short: A good training run for if training towards a marathon
In full: This is my third half marathon, my first here. It was very enjoyable, nice friendly atmosphere, good facilities and reasonable views. Parts were cross country but this made the route more interesting. Will definately do again.

In short: Excellent and well organised
In full: My 3rd attempt at Sleaford and a pb for the course for me. Last year the sweets were at 9 miles so was hoping for them whereas this year they were just before 12. Thank you for them. Love the off road bit for variety., Would definately recommend.

In short: Nowhere near as flat as some would say, and the last dip/hill at 12 miles tough. The off road section is hard going but at least it was dry this year. Nicely organised race though so well done Sleaford Striders. If only Lincoln City could hold a HM!|!

In short: deffinitely 'undulating'.
In full: A very good race. The hills were small, but never ending so a real thigh-buster. The off road section was a nice touch. The marshals were great and the water stations well timed. The goody bag was welcome and the t-shirt was fab; really nice to have a long sleeve one.
Not enough loos, but there is never enough.
I love the fact that the last person in gets as big a cheer as the first person to finish.

In short: A high spirited, fantastic race!
In full: I've never been to Sleaford, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Nor was my fiance or I certain where the place was. After a couple of wrong turns into various parts of RAF Cranwell (there's a lot of RAF Cranwell, you see) we found our way in. Not the best signposted (or at least, it wasn't from the East entrance) but following the cars in this quiet village helped a lot!

The venue itself was small but pleasent. A burger van was ready and waiting, and there was plenty of field space for dogs or children to play on, as well as a very tempting looking assult course which - to my dismay - was signed as off limits. My biggest gripe was the lack of female toilets, though having said that, are there ever enough?

The letter that came with the race number had requested people didn't use MP3 players, which I was disappointed about but it was understandable, and in hindsight a nice touch. It added a degree of formality and made the race feel more "real" to a newb like me!

The variety of people, from all clubs, ages and backgrounds, was wonderful to see. I'm still in awe of the joggler (running juggler) who by the looks of things managed his sub-2 hour time. Everyone was friendly which always makes the race enjoyable.

The staff all the way round were supportive and constantly smiling despite the cold. I very much appreciated the small girl at the end giving out jelly babies to help out with the last mile or so!

The scenery was very much Lincolnshire; fields upon fields making you feel like you're out in the sticks when the big towns are really just round the corner. There were some lovely sights, and you could see some gorgous views in between bushes. The "off road" areas were also fab, very peaceful and relaxed.

I didn't stay long after, even for the free drink. The burger van had a pretty big que by this point. We got free fruit though, and there was water and snacks in the goodie bags, so what more could we have needed? Though I did see several people at the end with medals, which turned out to be from the Fun Run. I was only a little jealous...

I thoroughly enjoyed this race though, and will definitely look to do it again next year. And I would certainly recommend it to anyone, even if you have to drive a distance. It's definitely worth it!

In short: My first ever race, felt welcome & really enjoyed myself, a reasonable amount of offroad which although a bit slower than road gives variety.

In short: A well organised race, hillier than I expected with some rough terrain. Easy to park, friendly marshallers and adequate water stations.
In full: Perfectly timed to coincide with London marathon training, I really enjoyed this, my first experience of organised racing. The organisation was good, from start to finish, loved the jelly baby handed out just before the killer hill at mile 12! The ground was far more undulating and hillier than I expected - knees are really hurting now!Adequate water stations, nice drink/fruit/snack at the end and very friendly marshallers/ baggage storers. Only one minor flaw, no loo roll in the ladies and a huge queue. Thought the club runners would all be very elitey but was pleasantly suprised by the friendliness all round.
