In short: A good tough race
In full: A well organised tough race. The contstant change of terrain makes it very difficult to find any ryhthm. The baking sun didn't help either!

In short: Hotter, muddier, harder, BETTER!!
In full: Superb race! i under-estimated Sep08 Turbo-X and got duly punished (spent the last 3-4 miles saying 'they're taking the p#ss here!) This time i expected 'the worst' and wasn't disappointed; deeper pools, more bogs, more mud, more variety (logs, roots, ditches, mudbank etc), more spectators (baying for you to get submerged!). Plenty of moderate hills, and this time the hills were at least en-route (rather than some sadistic vertical cul-de-sac!) surely the BEST t-shirt of any race? adding extra water station was great and prob saved a few withdrawals/collapses!

In short: Beautifully well organised and every bit as tough as they promised it would be - a great muddy day
In full: A mix of terrain (and some challenging hills) meant this had everything, to include the sections where it was closer to swimming than running. The heat of the day soon dried me out, but might have liked one more water station over the 10 mile course. Great goody bag and silly tales from the runners on the course made all the hard work worthwhile.

In short: Tough course but great fun and well organised.
In full: Mile markers would have been good. Lost track at one point but otherwise well marked. Goodie bag was excellent! How did it get to be so wet and muddy!

In short: Too much fun
In full: Extra drinks station appreciated because of the heat, although it made working out the distance a little difficult as the only drinks station was supposed to be at 5 mile. As there were no mile markers, I relied on the marshals to tell me there was 2 miles to go ... at two different locations! But it's not about PB's, it's about the mud! Hot hot day, with lots of fun :) not sure what the x zone was about though.

In short: Great fun
In full: This was my first race (minus the odd Wimbledon Parkrun) and I found it great fun. The bogs were great fun and the organisation excellent (a good idea putting in an extra drinks station considering the heat). I will definitely enter again.

In short: No better way to spend a sunday morning!
In full: Have ran a hell down south before but this was my first Turbo X. One word....SUPERB! Ample car parking space, only a short walk to the start area. Chip collection was very quick and easy. Great atmosphere before the race.

The race itself was superb. Definately harder than hell down south! Lots more water and mud! Cracking atmosphere and banter between runners. Somehow, myself and 4 others managed to get lost on the turbo X section....god knows how, we realised we had gone wrong after following a path for about 100m until we came to a fork, neither of which were marked, so turned back until we found tape!

Hot, hilly, wet, muddy....and totally worth it! Definately be back next year!
