In short: Great off roader if you dont mind mud and water
In full: Great day and great run, the sun was out and the water was freezing, once you eventually get wet through and realise it soon warms up again then the race is very enjoyable. Will be back next year.

In short: Coldest race I have ever done!! Finished with Ice on my head!
In full: Great fun, really good course and seriously enjoyable! I am glad I did the Sunday race as the ice and frozen water made it a real challenge. Not half as tough as Hellrunner but it was a different race altogether, more water stretches but shallower and a lot less hills...
Great fun and one for the diary.

In short: Ice Ice baby!!
In full: The sight of them breaking the ice with a sledgehammer was great for the motivation! Lovely sunny day - albeit cold - the delay for traffic/ice issues mant it had warmed up a bit. They had us avoid much of the water/ditches which was a shame. The last mile or two had changed from 06 and 07 - so me making up time between 5 and 7 was a bad idea when more hills appeared... missed my target but still a 5 min PB...

In short: Not as hard as I thought
In full: Enjoyed this, but perhaps didn't find it as hard as I thought it would.
Comment would be on the organisation - I'm happy to change in a tent (and often do at races) it was just a bit disappointing to have no ground sheet or sufficient number of chairs in the tent. Bit hard trying to keep your clean clothes clean when there's no-where to put them. For £24 I hopped they could have done better here.

In short: Puts the Fun into Run
In full: The best fun I have ever had in a run in 21 months of running. Last minute nerves (why am I here?) rapidly disappeared on a beautiful December morning. Water was cold, mud was squelchy and trainers are in the bin. No point worrying about finishing time, just enjoyed the whole experience. F.A.B.!

In short: Wet from the outset and very GRIM, but that what we paid for so - SUPERB!
In full: Freezing cold, wet from the outset, muddy & f*cking brilliant!

You know it's going to be a good day when you pull off the motorway and the event is sign-posted, so you don't have to squint at scribbled instructions as your printer has no ink and your too pikey to buy sat-nav. Makes the worst part of a race more pleasurable. Seemed really well organised to me. Only small moan would be people starting at the front with no intention of running therefore clogging it up, but it was supposed to be fun.

I enjoyed it and it really is wet a Grim from the outset, by the end I couldn't feel my toes but that's what I paid my money for.

Not as good as the British Military 10k, which is a more challenging course.

Gonna whack this in the calendar for next year though, really enjoyed it.

No idea of time as I was so relieved to cross the line I forgot to look and the website hasn't got the timing chip results yet.........

In short: A must for all runners who want to have some fun.
In full: Did my first Grim today, and loved every minute of it!!! I usually only enter 'serious' races so today was something very different for me - and I had a ball. The course is great, loads of very deep mud and water to cross, some hills but they're not too difficult, and loads of laughs when people fall head first into the freezing water! I'll certainly be there next year!

In short: When you arrive you'll think you're mad, when you hit the first puddle you'll know it! But you are surrounded by other nutters so you feel ok. Great atmosphere!
