In short: Quite physically demanding, might put be off-putting for beginners
In full: A tough race, the consensus among my fellow runners that it was as physically demanding as a reasonably flat half-marathon. Very enjoyable though and if you've put in the training miles, it shouldn't pose any real problems. Well marshalled, especially at the difficult (for the marshalls) road crossing beyond the golf course.

In short: A top stagger
In full: A great run... I was glad of the styles cos I went off a bit quick! Made the beers in the afternoon taste even better. Will be back again next year.

In short: Exceptionally well marshalled but very hilly! I think this race is on a par with the suicide six!

In short: Excellent test on lovely course
In full: The general concensus beforehand was that "this is a good workout for spring marathon training". Don't believe it! A couple of minutes in and it was as competitive as hell - good undulating hill test and great fun!

In short: Starting to suffer from its popularity sadly!
In full: A lovely if somewhat challenging course with good organisation BUT - there were loads too many people mid-pack leading to some of us having to queue for over FOUR minutes to get over a stile!! AND it was a pity to have to stop at some of the road crossings. These two set-backs lead me to think that if I do ever run this again, I will only do it as a training run. Good training run though!!
