In short: Enjoyed the new course, even in the rain! In full: Usual well organised race by Heanor RC. Plenty of very wet marshalls, plenty of parking, I much prefer the new course which has less traffic and is pleasantly undulating with nothing too steep or long and a nice downhill finish, thanks to all concerned. In short: The torrential rain may have clouded my judgement... In full: The start was a little haphazard but otherwise the organisation was very good. I feel sorry for the poor marshalls stood out there in that awful wind and rain. Hideous weather! I couldn't tell you much about the scenery since I couldn't see a thing for most of the course. It's a bit hilly and probably not a pb course, certainly not for me but then I've been ill all week so was pleased just to get round. The christmas pudding looks very impressive and they were giving out Lucozade bars, drinks and sachets too. I'm sure I'd have enjoyed it more in better weather and better health. In short: Lovely day, very long hill, great marshalls, fantabulous pud In full: My third Pud Run, and a PB. The hills don't seem to get any easier, the weather doesn't seem to get any warmer, but it is just a lovely, friendly race that keeps me coming back. GB1 you can run on the footpaths through Smalley village. Date of review: November 22, 2006

In short: Well organised race let down slightly by the stretch on the main road In full: My only gripe in an otherwise well organised run is that uphill stretch on a main road in the first half. The second half is beautiful through a country park - would it be feasible to look at 2 laps in the park and keep away from the traffic fumes? (White van man on a Sunday morning in a hurry!) Well marshalled throughout, facilities OK, usual scrum at the finish thanks to the dipsticks that insist on gossiping and getting in the way of us plodders at the back, nice pudding to take away. Thanks Heanor RC. Date of review: November 21, 2006
