In short: Great - thanks to all, great organisation and comms.
In full: Thanks to all for the organization and marshaling. Tough race, but very early in the season for me!

In short: Once again, an excellent race in a superb setting
In full: Unlike the poor saps who elected to do Bath, I can find nothing to suggest that would improve this race one iota. Great setting, challenging course, excellent organisation. A real runner's day out. Oh, and a fraction of the price of Bath. A fixture in my calendar and, this year, blessed with excellent weather - just been slapping on the apres sun!

In short: What a great day for racing!
In full: Wonderful weather, and organisation before and after the race. The first 2 miles were a bit cramped with everyone running down the trails together. Although this stopped me from setting off too fast which benefited me towards at the end! lovely flowing one lap course wth a few hills and plenty of downhills. Looking forward to next years race!11

In short: A Beautiful Day and a great place to run
In full: I really enjoyed the run today. There were great facilities at the start and well organised parking. Although the gun Lady was struggling to pull the trigger to get the race started!!

The start seemed a little cramped and the first 2 miles were slower than usual as there were a lot of runners (of all abilities) within a fairly narrow trail.

My only other negative would be that the 2nd drink station wasn't ready for us when we got there.

That said it was nice to do a half marathon off the roads and I would recommend this course to others.

In short: Undulating with a very fast finish - shame about the timings
In full: Overall a good race - not too unreasonably priced (when compared with other events of a similar size), well marshalled and of course, a great location.

Weather turned out to be perfect, though I'm glad I managed to get inside during the 15 minute delay.

Though I didn't get one, it was a nice touch having special T-shirts for the first 50 men and women to finish.

My only real gripes are:
1) the chip timing system didn't work at the start so all times are gun-to-chip which, given the lack of a clear start (the gun didn't sound) affected times recorded.
2) lack of signage from the finish back to the car park.
3) charging for tea/coffee at the finish - firstly, who carries cash with them during a race? secondly, given the conditions (it felt cold again after finishing) would it be so much to ask (given the £14 fee) for a free cuppa (I'd have swapped the tacky medal for one!)?

As it's local, I'll probably be back one day.
