In short: Challenging but highly rewarding and lovely scenic run
In full: Really enjoyed this race and although there were some challenging hills and narrow in some places - the scenery was really lovely. I loved running down the open field at the beginning and seeing a single file of colouful runners! The finish was excellent - great atmosphere and support and felt fantastic to have completed such a fitness challenging course! Will definately be back next year.

In short: Exceptionally well organised and friendly run through mostly pretty countryside.
In full: The organisation of this race is excellent which it had to be given the winding nature of the course.

The organisers really go to town with a great group warm-up, hot dog stand, tombola and even a car wash available to raise funds for the school. This guaranteed good support at the end of the race.

The fun runs were well attended also and well organised.

The course was narrow in places, but that is the nature of running on public footpaths through the woods and fields.

In short: Easier this year (believe it or not!). A few organisational issues, but still a great race.
In full: This is the third time I've run this as it's my local race. They changed the course this year, and I think it was (slightly) less challenging. I'm not complaining, as I beat last years time by a minute!

A couple of issues: Couldn't find the start line. Sounds silly, but I was nearer the back, so didn't know when to start my watch. Surely you don't start it when the horn goes off...

Secondly, I had to wait for nearly a minute at the road at one point. I did stop my stopwatch, so I feel like I've cheated a bit, but I didn't know what else to do.

Having said all that, the organisation was still very good, and the weather was luckily not too outrageous, so I still manged to really enjoy myself.

Thanks again for another great race.

In short: Get's better each year. Change of course improved event further.
In full: Superb new course kept runners on their mettle with lots of changes of surface and gradient while getting rid of demoralising main road climb of previous years. Also worth running every year for the lovely finish. What a great final 1k. Through and out of the woods and into a sports field full of encouraging spectators. You can't fail to be lifted to a quick last 300ms.

In short: Great atmosphere, good organisation.
In full: Really enjoyed this race. Lovely family atmosphere, good course over multi-terrain. A few single file stretches, but that's picky, pleasantly testing. Definately back next year.
