In short: A decent event which very bad weather did nothing to spoil.
In full: I took part in the relay event, and would recommend this as a very different race experience. Great to be part of a team! The course was grimly urban and beatifully rural in equal measure. Marshalling was first rate - especially in that foul weather

In short: Great event , Great marshalls
In full: Very tough, but it was my first Marathon (Baptism of fire!)

The marshalls were just superb. Cannot praise them enough. Well organised, and despite the weather good fun

Will be back

In short: Wet, gale force, cold and hilly!!!
In full: A very well organised race, marshalls were brilliant, all organisation superb, nice medal. BUT......in that weather it was hell!! If it was run in Springtime a probable pb course but those hills in the wind and rain of December it would be unlikely. But a good race to finish off the year and to make you feel less guilty about the Christmas indulgences!

In short: Despite crazy weather loved the entire thing
In full: The organisers, marshalls and supporters were absolutely fantastic. I kept trying to work out who was madder, us for running in that weather or all of them for standing around in it to support us? After having a DNF at Luton last year I was determined to give it everything this year. Somehow managed to smash my PB and get myself a championship time for FLM so am bloody delighted.

In short: What a challange
In full: I had a great run as part of a relay team, you can't always have good weather and this was one day when everything happened, cold wet and windy but I did it. Congratulations to everyone who did the three laps…..Well done

As for the marshals who had to brave the elements you were fantastic, see you next year.

In short: OK race to finish of the racing year
In full: The event organisation was excellent and the marshalls were very supportive. Not a scenic course, but that was too be exepcted. If you are looking for something to finish of the season, then go for it. It is quite a fast course as well, so perhaps some PB potential there.
