In short: My firtst time, but certainly not my last! In full: Great support throughout. Lots of supporters up Eccy Road and in City centre but also lots of smaller hardcore groups at end. My wife and sister in law had a complaint about no portaloos en-route, which left me hanging around outside a pub, while they pleaded with the bar staff. Fantastic marshalling round the course, but I felt a bit bewildered at the end not really sure what to do or where to go - and couldn't find a space blanket for love nor money. Well worth doing and can't wait for more! Well done organisers! Date of review: April 27, 2008
In short: First time and probably not the last In full: Enjoyable all round city race, well organised. Changes ? would be nice to have some sort to running stall/shop, thought would be good business for someone, and perhaps a energy drink station half way or towards end. Other than those minor things, very enjoyable. Date of review: April 27, 2008
In short: Well organised, great weather for running and a PB! In full: Really enjoyed this one, beat my PB by over 3 mins and despite a few climbs, from about Mile 8 it was mainly downhill! Plenty of water stations and the atmosphere at half way was superb! Bit confused after the race on how to get off the track and out as I couldn't find any marshalls at the end.
That aside though, it was all good! Date of review: April 27, 2008
In short: A bit pricey and not exactly got much PB potential! In full: It was great weather today and the route was fairly OK - not done this newer route. Where were mile markers? Seemed to have missed 1 mile, 5-8 miles then the 11th mile so couldn't really take my splits well enough. Good amount of marshalls and drinks stations and good support from several parties along the route. If the race was less money, I'd do it again as £18 is a bit steep (although I know why it cost that much)! Well done to the organisers. Date of review: April 27, 2008
