In short: Fast course, even with windy airfield and prom miles
In full: Heard this was a fast course, so thought i'd wheel 85miles down.
Was pretty quick, but a couple of laps of a windy airfield and a couple of never ending miles to finish on the prom sucked a little life of out me.

Great views in places though, nice organisation, pretty good race. And good to be part of the 25th anniversary celebrations.

In short: Good PB potential when weather kind. Scenary isnt great
In full: Enjoyable fast race with good PB potential. Well organised. half the course involves running around an airfield which can be exposed to the wind. Scenary overall is quite boring. Well worth a visit though and I'll do it again next year

In short: Friendly and flat
In full: Really enjoyed today's race. Despite the chilly start I soon warmed up and enjoyed the flat and very well marshalled course. Lots of doubling back so that you could see the faster/slower runners which was nice. Loved the enthusiastic steel band as well. Easy to see mile markers. Fab goody bag at the end as well. A mention should go to the very supportive and enthusiastic marshals who must have been freezing! Will be back next year.

In short: Cold War Chic
In full: I entered on a blatant last ditch PB attempt before the end of the year and got just that. I wasn't expecting much of a view but found the derelict military buildings strangely scenic and the couple of miles on the promanade was great for spotting sail boats and forgetting about your legs.
Very well organised with friendly marshalls throughout the course.

In short: flat and fast route
In full: A very good value, well organised event with everything you need: warm school facilities for before and after, clear and friendly marshalling, generally open roadways for running, flat, perfect weather (today) and a welcome hunk of cake after the run. I can see why it is such a popular event and I welcome the ban on headphones as you need good awareness of other runners around.

In short: fast course and lots of positives from the day
In full: Really encouraging and numerous marshalls, well organised race, improvements from previous years. Great for pb's. Ok not the most scenic but dont complain too much, just enjoy it - it could be worse. I see the car park machine is still troublesome, get there v early is my advice.

In short: Came for the time, not the scenery.
In full: The start was a lot better than two years ago, with a few other changes to the route, mainly the pleasant addition of the two miles along the waterfront to take the scenery mark up by a point. Second time I've PB'd here so well pleased.
