In short: Expensive, but since it was on my door step seemed rude not to run it!

In short: Really enjoyed this race - thought the price was extortionate for a 10k but it was really well organised and had a great atmosphere. Definitely go along again next year.d

In short: Well organised, but ..........
In full: Expensive, boring route, poor spectatorship, and if that was a goody bag, I'd hate to see what a saddy bag looks like. The only pluses for me were the big screen at the 5k mark, the medal and teashirt - and I loved Sheffield, for the first time of visiting it.

In short: Pretty fast course. Only a few taxing inclines at the end. Ran a P.B.

In short: expensive 10K, but well organised.
In full: Having read a lot of other reviews on this race in my home city I have to agree with everything else already said. This was a dull, quite hilly course through one of the poorer city areas. Though well organised, there wasn't a great deal of spectator support, not enough medium t-shirts (my husband missed out cos he ran with me, sorry babes)very poor goodie bag, and bloomin pricey, but yes I'd do it again as there just aren't enough events on my own doorstep.

In short: Very promising for a 10K
In full: As this was taking place place in my home city I felt obliged to take part even thigh the cost did seem a little expensive. I was hoping for a PB but the slight inclines upto the petrol station on Abbeydale road took it out of me more than I had accounted for so could take advantage of the down hill stretch to bottom of London road and last 800m incline laso took it ot of me. I was a liitel dissapointed on lack of spectators but impressed with big screen at 5 k. All told though really enjoyed the experience and already marked this down for next year.

In short: Good event
In full: Good transport links from park and ride made getting to the start really easy. Well organised at the start and finish. Lot less hectic than the Manchester Great Run but obviously lot less runners - hope will grow into a bigger event for the future. Odd item to get in the goody bag though - 10 tea bags!! bag of jelly babies would have been much nicer - organisers take note!!

In short: Well Organised
In full: A well organised event.

The race banding helped me enormously as the last 10K I ran I got stuck behind several thousand run/walkers. The band and the large screen on the route were nice touches and helped brighten up what was otherwise quite a dull route.

Shame more people from Sheffield didn’t turn out, however the ones that did were excellent and did the city of Sheffield proud.

The up climb to the finish was hard work, and really took it out of me (although I did manage a PB).

All in all, a well organised event and despite the price I’ll be returning again next year.

In short: Well organised on the day, with some fairly challenging inclines
In full: Glad I did this race and I hope it grows. On the day organisation was good. Starting waves worked well, fast friends had no problem and I had fun right at the back. I really enjoyed being able to watch the elites. Thought it was quite challenging with the inclines but all of us who took part got pbs. I did not enjoy the final 400m.
