In short: Good smallish race
In full: I had a great time and managed a good PB despite lack of training! There could be a bit more support along the way - a band or something be nice to run home to.... but well organised otherwise. Lovely sunshine this year too!! Thanks :-)

In short: Like the change of course
In full: Definitely prefer the change of course. CONAC have worked hard to iron out the problems of previous years, they even managed to arrange good weather this year :)

In short: Good first time race - yet still challenging for regular runners
In full: I never thought I would say this I did miss the steep gravel hill - it was always the talking point among runners after the race - please go back to the old route

In short: Good organisation, marshalls, route and medals. Weather changed at the right time to make it dry and sunny.

In short: great day out
In full: I really enjoyed it. The organisation/marshalling seemed flawless though having done it before I knew what to expect. The fact the race started on time must have meant they've sorted out most of the traffic trouble of previous years so well done CONAC. The weather was ideal too. It seems like it is mainly uphill, probably because it is what with the new change but I still think it is a quick course.

Seeing Ronnie O'Sullivan at the end was a highlight!

In short: Fast and Virtually Flat Two Lap Half Marathon
In full: :-)

I do like this two lap course, and plenty of chances for spectators to see us in-between a coffee and a burger.

Nice course, but I do think the new course is actually slower than the old one. They have traded 400m of sharp uphill for 2.5 miles of slow shallower gradient.

Still, expertly organised. A sad inditement of our times that the stewards had to be 'SIA Accredited' (bouncers). Still, with no ipods and perfect weather this was an excellent day. Even better the winner was disqualified for number swapping. Oh how I chortled !

See you next year.

:-)

In short: First ever road race - first ever half marathon - great - could become a bit of a habit!
