In short: Special mainly as first time distance raced
In full: Good marshalls, Flat route, Good stations, Lame Tannoy. Start atmosphere poor and cold. Some runners giving race bad rep by peeing on local house walls.

In short: great race but cold
In full: I was very pleased with this event, I did feel they pened us up a little early which kept you from being able to warm well before the start, but to say it was the first time for the race I found it to be well run with lots of well stocked stations, and the best goody bag I have had plus a nice medal. I liked it that much that I am thinking of traveling to Scotland for the other event . finally having done a local 16mile cross country three weeks before, to have them put me down as a none runner and did not record my time just shows how bad some event orginizers are.

In short: Fantastic!
In full: It's amazing that no-one's thought of this before - perfect for those like me looking for something a bit different from a half-marathon and also those with a full marathon on the horizon. Generally, very well organised - the holding of runners in the pens seemed to go on for quite a while and I wouldn't have discarded my running fleece so soon had I known(!) but I can understand why, given the large number of runners. Vociferous, encouraging marshalls all the way round and really appreciated the help from those at the water stations. I was also pleasantly surprised at the number of public support round most of the route. Bus shuttle service worked very well and, being a local lass, I was home in time for a well-deserved hearty Sunday lunch!

In short: Well done!
In full: After having completed the Edinburgh Marathon last year (when they ran out of water) I was a bit dubious about this lots organisation. But I have to say that apart from the long wait to get started I really enjoyed this race, thanks to the brilliant marshalls and water station people- all well organised.

In short: A good debut
In full: Overall a good first race. Brilliant concept and one which I think will grow over the coming years. The organisers will learn from this race and hopefully every year it will get better just like the London Marathon. Look how London has grown, and this could be the exact same. Cant wait to run it next year, if it is still around.

In short: Good race
In full: It wasn t a bad try for the first kilamathon, i was doing it training for the london marathon like a lot of other people as it is postioned 6 weeks before.Just a few little problems here and there. The pens at the begining were a pain,i was standing around for 35 mins waiting for the start before they moved us to the road,if it had rained it would have been terrible, the support from marshalls was fantastic.I agree with some of the other comments about the finish,it lacked atomsphere, the shuttle buses were great though.Overall it was a good race and i would think about doing it again!
