In short: If it had a script, it would have been written by Lewis Carroll! In full: Full of colourful costumes, and even more colourful characters. A great feeling of warmth, enjoyment and adventure. A sense of being part of something unusual and special, but without feeling overwhelmed or intimidated. The best organisation I've ever seen at an event, with no possibility of any runners becoming lost down rabbit holes! It was truly a pleasure to be part of it all. I'll be back again next year for TheBigRedHeart's 15th "Adventure In Geordieland" :o) Date of review: September 19, 2011

In short: Great as usual.Work still needed on the "Wave Management" & still more troilets at the startrt In full: My 7th copnsecutive GNR. Dfinitely back next year. BUT.... Why di I pas pink, green & white runners after one mile. Are The "Wave" marshals clourblind or turn a blind eye. New runners without a certified time should go at the back. We need Large Signs asking people who are walking (Lots of them) to go on the left. I know it's in the book but they obviously don't read that. Great support & music all the way, Thanks to all the Marshals on the course. Date of review: September 19, 2011

In short: A good event for beginners In full: This was the first 'big' event I'd done after a completing about a dozen half marathons. I was really looking forward to it. My expectations were probably too high. It seemed to be designed for charity runners since many participants seemed to walk most of it. I jogged it with my girlfriend who's seven months pregnant and we were still frustrated by our inability to pass people. It looks like I'm more suited to smaller events. In short: 1st GNR In full: Good race and I was amazed by all the support that is on the course. People paying out of their own pocket for water, oranges, ice pops, jelly babbies etc..........
The bands were great aswell. Was wondering when the coast was finally coming into sight.
No chance of PB tho far too many people!
Great Atmosphere, Amazing Organisation.
