In short: My favourite race!
In full: Fantastic organisation, couldn't fault a single thing. Magnificent route, fantastic crowd support and hot showers and free food afterwards.

In short: Great race. Very quick start with a few killer hills along the way. Knocked nearly 6 mins off my PB. Well organised. Could do with more time at start after bus drop off.

In short: Amazing scenery shame I couldn't stop to enjoy it
In full: Has to be one to the best marathons in the UK, if not the best.

Everything ran like clock work from entry to free food at the end. Can not fault it.

Shame it isn't in the half term week and my wife and kids would have loved it too.

In short: Gorgeous but hard
In full: Loved loved loved this race. It was almost perfect. Amazing scenery, I loved the start and finish and most of the race felt like the kind of route you dream of running on. Just those hills........ but I guess they made it interesting.

In short: God, that was hard - but fantastic.
In full: Great scenery - though not tons of the loch.
Very steep downhill for the first few miles, then undulating with some hard hills, including one that seemed to carry on for 3 or 4 miles. Organisation was really good and the finish area is fantastic. Also, they put on a 400m race for under 5s (plus 5K and 10K) so something for all the family.

In short: Some cock-ups with transportation couldn't tarnish a beautiful morning's road running.

In short: Better than Paris and London!
In full: Well that's my opinion anyway as despite the undulating course, I managed a PB by 10mins! What a fantastic, welcoming and friendly race. Easy to get into your stride and enough support at the later points in the race to perk you up for the final push into Inverness. A great welcome at the finish with some very welcome soup, food and massage laid on. There aren't many marathons that offer use of showers at the end too. Will definitely be back to try and break this new PB!
