In short: Excellent event, fantastically organised + supported through Clumber + in Worksop Town. Loved the halloween theme especially the T-shirt. The sponge station signs were genius. Date of review: November 1, 2010
In short: Loved it. In full: Really good as usual. Well done to the Worksop Harriers again. Enjoyed the comedy signs at about mile nine (sponges 50p Sponges with water £1.00, map of shortcuts £2.50 etc)made me smile as the legs started to sing a bit. Managed to get a PB too, which is always nice. will be back next year and would encourage anyone else to be there too. Date of review: November 1, 2010
In short: Well organised, great scenery and quicker than you would think! In full: I started the race with no expectations and got better and better as the race went on. It is nice that the finish is quick and the hard bits in the first half of the race. As always it is a bit of a shame that so many people have no idea what time they will run and have to be ran round in the first mile but this is as much my fault for not going nearer the front! A great race and I will definitely be back next year and may find it harder! Date of review: November 1, 2010
In short: Undulating route, but excellent organisation In full: Came back after enjoying it last year, and glad I did. Perfect conditions, a scenic route that is tough but far from punishing. Organisation was great...I always worry about queues when picking up numbers etc on the day, but it was seamless. Well done to all the organisation team. Date of review: November 1, 2010
In short: Good scenary excellent organisation given size of field. In full: Good scenary excellent organisation given size of field. Always hilly then i remember it from previous years. Nice downill finish. Date of review: November 1, 2010
In short: Great race and a PB! In full: This was my 1st half, last year - run with the dregs of man flu, so the time didn't stand too long. Figured I had to come back, some 'unfinished business'
Anyway, glad I did. Another runner with a new PB by 6:44
Loved the sick sense of humour around the 10 mile mark "last water for 10 miles", "Sponges 50p", wet sponges £1", "bike hire £5" etc - expected to see Jason Vorhees or Michael Myers standing menacingly with a machete 30 yards into the woods....
The runs great, parkings easy, 'T' shirts are a definite cut above the usual Date of review: October 31, 2010
