In short: Well organised, a great event, possibly the hardest 10k around but it's great not to be a slave to the watch.

In short: A little gem of a race - everyone should do it
In full: Superb organisation and marshalling this year. I have done it in all weathers over the years and it never fails to please. Bring the kids to cheer you on and play on the sand for a great family trip. The high spot of my running year.

In short: Brilliant challenge - esp. the sand dunes
In full: That the race begins with the highest sand dunes in Europe makes this quite special. Followed soon after by another (not quite so challenging!) climb means this is a race well worth turning up for! Soup at the end very welcome as the air was cold and hard on the lungs. Only down side is lack of toilets and NO changing facilities. Otherwise superb.

In short: One Massive Sand Dune, One Long Slow Hill and a River
In full: A great race with 2 challenging climbs. Superb atmosphere, well marshaled and pudding + t-shirt as prizes. Excellent, would recommend. Start needs to be in the car park to prevent bottle neck at top of big dipper (cost me 3 minutes), also there were plenty of toilets but no-one knew about the 20 cubicle block 200 yards from the car park and everyone was in a queue for a single toilet in the car park. One sign would have sorted that.

In short: Top bannana !
In full: Nice T-shirt, a Christmas Pud (Sainsbury's..) as big as the dipper itself for 2005, Soup & Roll, great athomosphere, excellent marshalling, organised by runners for runners, special (albeit basic..) facilities to wash the sand out of your toes towards the end of the course, one of the most enjoyable races you'll ever do - all for £7 !!

In short: One that must go in everyone's diary
In full: Pure pain, but pure enjoyment. Forget about your normal 10km times, and just enjoy the run in the best scenery in the world [and a sewage farm to boot!!]
