In short: A great day out at the classic resort In full: Congratulations to the organisers ( Southport Hesketh Round Table ) for a superb event this morning. Runners like to know that organisers know what they're doing, ( which they clearly did ) so let's hope it was viable and can be repeated. It was a great course, challenging due to the wind, but well thought out particularly on the way back to Stanley. Runners also like value for money ( e.g. goody bag/tee shirt ), this was exceptional for the entry fee ! Finally, the presence of timing technology and professional photographers always goes down well with the punters. Looking forward to the next Maddog !!
In short: Great race, Great course. In full: Did anyone else mention it was VERY WINDY today? Well I guess you can't blame the race organisers for that one! What an excellent race. Big thanks to everyone who made it possible and I'll see you next year! Fantastic! Date of review: February 6, 2011
In short: I did the MAD DOG today and thoroughly enjoyed it. The course was was really good and nice and flat, if a little breezy for the first 5k. The organisers did a great job and the whole event seemed to go very smoothly. A very friendly atmosphere 10/10 Date of review: February 6, 2011
In short: Hope its back again in 2012 In full: Hopefully this race will become a yearly event. Plenty of smiling marshalls, good flat course well marked out and chip timing. Although not traffic free it was never a problem. The wind was fierce for the first 5k but glad rain held off. Well done to all those who put the time and effort into organising this new event. Compared to the other 10K in Southport I think this is a better course (no loops) and a better price. Will be back next year Date of review: February 6, 2011
