In short: a long run easy way to get a sun tan
In full: I thoroughly enjoyed this race although it was easier this year without the climb up the valley!!!! Still took 2.30 hrs although my watch was about 7 minutes earlier because I stopped it at the steps. Thats the second year theres been a problem there , I dont understand why, everyone is still moving. So there should not be such a queue, but they race was great and the weather fantastic, even so I stopped at the 2nd to last water stop to say about the dreaded foot and mouth. It was a good run, a hot day and no point in my case killing my self to be 2hrs.

In short: Very well signposted and very good route (apart from the steps;))
In full: Was my first trail run, so perhaps I am easy to impress but this was a pleasent race in beautiful surroundings. If I understand correctly not as tough as planned due to a route change due to foot-and-mouth concerns. Enough flat and downhill parts to make up for the walking up the hill.

In short: One of the more tiring half marathons I've done but well worth doing.
In full: A great race. Pretty up and down and rough underfoot in places. Reminded me of the Stanstead Slog. Lovely countryside and marshalls did a great job. The extra drink stations put in I assume because of the heat were very welcome.
