In short: Just finished laughing at the photos! Will never spend a new years eve getting drunk again, much more fun running up and down Box Hill fresh from a good nights sleep. Well done to Dr Rob and all his helper for a great new years day event.

In short: A challenging course around Box hill.
In full: Thanks to Dr Rob and all the marshalls for a great race. It was the first time doing the KC will be back next year for another go. Don't know why people are moaning about the mass start as most races start that way and I wouldn't want to be blocking the faster runners trying to get past me on the narrow paths. It also made for a great atmosphere at the start. Goodies were excellent and I particularly like the colour changing mug and the names on back of the top.

In short: The hardest 10k I've ever run. The hills are proper hills, the stepping stones great fun and the steps on the last 1km just finish you off! You simply have to dress up - or feel the odd one out. Fab marshalls. Loved the soup, thanks Dr Rob

In short: Thanks to the cheerful supporters and marshals!!!
In full: This is the first time I've done the Knacker Cracker. We had been a spectator last year and had been really impressed with the runners and the race - in particular the staggered start - which inspired us to enter this year.

I was really disappointed when we got the e-mail saying that it was going to be a mass start. I was looking forward to being in one of the first waves as I'm a very slow jogger (particularly if there are hills involved). Still it was enjoyable running down the hill and seeing all the other runners charging back up again - inspiring me to run back up the hill further than I had ever managed before (normally as soon as I place a foot on that slope I go from a jog to a walk)...

I was soon at the back, but the supporters were great, cheering me on as the "Christmas tree" - and special thanks must go to the sweeper at the back who was so encouraging. It was also great going down the steps, passing the runners who were going back up and who were also very encouraging - giving opportunity to admire all the fancy dress outfits as they went past.

I was relieved to reach the finish but it was disappointing to be told "sorry, run out of medals - oh and t-shirts, but we might be able to post them on". Likewise although we could see empty cups of soup, I guess that must have all gone too - though my husband did manage to scrounge a roll from somewhere.

We also missed the prize giving which was a bit of shame - particularly as there was a raffle based on your race number, which as some of us were still on the course, and you had to be present to win, guess made us ineligible, which is a shame. I for one would vote for the staggered start again if at all possible for future years.

All in all though it was an enjoyable start to the new year and I would do it again - so long as the cost doesn't prohibitly go up!!!!

In short: Even better than ;ast year!
In full: I was happy enough with it last year but everyone starting at once was a big improvement, as was the fact that it was much closer to 10k (9.92 I made it)
