In short: Briliant run, tough in places but well worth doing
In full: Excellently organised race with very friendly encouraging marshalls. A good mix of flat and hills with some nice scenery along the way. My first half marathon so overall pleased with the day, thanks everybody

In short: excellent race, well marshalled, challanging and scenic.
In full: Ran towards rear with a friend, as usual marshalls were excellent, even when almost some of the last runners, waters stations seemed a bit far apart, but thats just me whinging, overall as per normal, robberttown runners have laid on a half marathon that seems to be very popular, and well organised, Thank you very much for a dam good day.

In short: a tough'un, especially the lengthy climb at 9 miles, spring-like conditions and great organisation made this well-enjoyable. Shame the XL t-shirts ran out, the L is already in the charity bag...

In short: tough half marathon
In full: As half-marathons go, this was challenging, with the difficuly bit being the climb for a few miles on the way back up from Bailiff Bridge to cross over the M62. Views were good though once at the top looking out towards the Pennines.

Organisation was good, and I enjoyed the reading out of runner's names as they got to the finish line. Will definately try and do it again next year.

In short: Wow!, first race ever for me, and I absolutely loved it.
In full: Got a bad stitch at the end of mile 5 on the steep descent, ran it off by the uphill after the ford. Did acheive my PB as its the only thirteen I've run (1hr 48mins and 29 seconds). I exceeded my expectations by a good 12 minutes and I can only put it down to the fantastic support of the marshalls on the way round, as well as all the hard training. The 13th mile was dreadful and still all uphill! I was sore for 3 days, but would most definately do it again. I'll beat you next year Ray!!

In short: My first Half - surely future 13.1 milers can only be easier!!
In full: The organisation was superb - from the greeting at the Community Centre when we arrived to the greeting at the Finish line (even for a 2Hr 17min finisher!), and everything in between. A race for everyone - don't miss it next year!
