In short: Brilliant half marathon! - If you're tough enough! In full: I absolutely love this race. If you don't like killer hills, driving rain and howling winds then stay at home. However if you like a real challenge and fancy running one of the top half marathons in the UK - this is for you. Superbly organised and marshalled, thanks very much to all at the Marlow Striders for putting on another great race.

In short: The weather was against the runners, heavy rain, and windy, but mild for this time of year so tea-shirts, no need for anything else even with the wind and rain. Hilly and tough ! Date of review: November 1, 2009

In short: Many thanks to the organisers and marshalls. In full: Another well-organised day. I felt sorry for the volunteers standing in the rain for three hours, although it didn't stop them shouting encouragement. Running into the wind along the valley bottom at halfway was a nightmare. In short: Ache in places I've never ached, tough In full: Wind and rain set the theme for this race, a big Thank You to all those Marshall's for standing in it for so long and yet still remained cheerful. This race was well organised and despite the P.O. Strike, made sure it went ahead as planned. The toughest Half I've ever done but would do again, Thank You Marlow Striders Date of review: November 1, 2009

In short: Very satisfying race, great marshalls, pity no medal in recognition of toughness In full: This is a really enjoyable race whilst being tough to say the least. The organisational side of things was excellent and the marshalls very encouraging in the pouring rain. A medal to remember those hills would have been good Date of review: November 1, 2009

In short: Knew it was going to be tough, but wow! In full: Foul conditions but still a brilliant morning..great organisation meant I had a bit too long to wait around at the start. Thought it would take forever to get my chip and number but all very smooth. Great atmosphere and fantastic marshalls cheering you on. Felt more sorry for them than for us except for on those nasty hills! My first half marathon and so proud of myself and all the other Running Buddies from Thame for storming home in the lashing rain. Bring on next year! Nice tshirt too Date of review: November 1, 2009

In short: Hilly, hard, wet, muddy! In full: Not for beginners! Had to pay for parking which wasn't advertised enough. A fellow runner gained a £25 parking ticket.
Entry quite steep seeing as there were no goody bags or medals.
After finishing that race I felt I deserved a medal.
Excellent support and very friendly race. Date of review: November 1, 2009

In short: Hilly, wet, windy, flooded - Great fun! In full: I was thinking of not turning up for this what with the atrocious, and accurate, forecast but really glad I did. Great organisation and a great, truly challenging, route. Marshalls, and supporters were out braving the weather as well as us runners. Date of review: November 1, 2009
