In short: Well organised race. tough course but very enjoyable In full: the wind made the course even harder than the 8 miles of uphill already hadm but the weather was great and the organisation was good. Water stations well marshalled with plenty to go around. the only slight moans were the temporany ropad surface you had to run on between 10 and 12 - I say someone fall over and twist their ankle on it! Also the gate to the school carpark (where we were told to park) was locked before the presentation had finished which was annoying.
All in all a good race and I'd come back again next year. Date of review: November 26, 2006
In short: Very cold and the hills made it a challenge from start to finish. Wooly hat and voucher at the end were welcome though! In full: More hills than Worksop last month but the one that killed me was the one 400m from the end, any chance of a sprint finish was cut short there.
The even t was well organised, friendly and the marshalls excellent. Only slight gripe was the changing rooms being what seemed half a mile from the start. Date of review: November 27, 2005
In short: Embroidered hat and a voucher excellent value In full: Hills: ok there were a few but nothing too scary. Toilets: could have been a few more but again queues not that big. Marshalls: sterling job as always in cold weather. Traffic: mmmm segregation could have been a bit better in some places. Overall: well organised, nice run, will definetely do next year Date of review: November 27, 2005
