In short: Virtually faultless
In full: Would have dropped the virtually if the start had have been 10am prompt as promised - it was delayed 15 mins for latesters. Apart from that it was great - a reasonably tough course, good support considering the conditions, great organisation thanks to the Cadets & other volunteers and a decent medal. Also good that it wasn't just the top 3 that got special awards.

In short: Lovely downhills at the end
In full: Cooling drizzle at the start, would have been seriously tough in the hot. Ups were steep enough to make me wonder/walk and the downs were very welcome. As a newbie to trail running i really enjoyed it.

In short: Fantastic experience. A real pleasure to be part of this race.
In full: Uplifting. It was such a pleasure to be running off road. The muddy underfoot conditions actually made it all the more exciting for me. Even the hills (which on the first half of the course seemed to be never ending) were a joy to run, the surroundings and atmosphere of this race gave me an extra lift as I climbed. A definite 'do again' race. Thanks to all marshalls - you did a great job.
