In short: Enjoyable but atmosphere a bit flat
In full: Uphill first half, downhill second balances it out so possible PB potential which I managed. Water stations good, wet sponges a nice touch. Marshalls good but seemed flat atmosphere last half mile with not many spectators. Well organised road closures and has the potential to be a great event if people get out and support it.

In short: an excellent start to my half marathon running!
In full: This was my first half marathon and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was warned about the hills and the fact that I hadn't picked the easiest half to start my half marathon running, but the fact that it was challenging (is it just me or are the first 7 miles all uphill??!!!) and that I made it all the way round was even more satisfying. I now feel if I can do this one I can anyt other half marathon out there!!!
By the time I got to final couple of drinks station there was no water - this was the only down on the whole day. Will def do it again!

In short: Great atmosphere in parts but the drinks station was a nightmare, nearly tripped over runners and no water at the last station ,picked a bottle up off the road I was so desperate.,

In short: 10 mins quicker than I expected - what more can you say!
In full: Real shame the drinks stations ran out - if I'd had the opportunity to replenish my energy stores (instead of having to pick up discarded bottles of water off the floor!) My legs might not have stopped working at 11 miles and I would have got in under 2 hours...

In short: A good race, but organisers need to review water station stocks
In full: A good race overall.

The narrow path did have plenty of grass alongside, and had the weather beforehand been kinder this would have been a suitable surface to run on.

I have to agree with the other comments about the water stations - a significant number had run out entirely, one or two only had very watered down Gatorade left which you had to queue for. A number of runners were forced to pick half drunk bottles up from the floor. This was frustrating and potentially dangerous. Organisers really need to address this area next year.

I would consider this again.

In short: Not the most scenic race and a tough first 7 miles, but enjoyable and will return next year.

In short: Really enjoyed this one, will be back next year
In full: My first half in my home town, really enjoyed it, well organised, was impressed with the number of water stations though alarmed to read other reviews of the problems encountered. Agree that the single file muddy track down part of the ring road was a bit of a calamity, but overall well done Leeds! Great medal and T shirt too.
