In short: The best crowd support I've ever experienced!
In full: If you don't mind a few hills, then this is the race for you. The downhill stretches provide a welcome respite from the long, tough climbs, and the crowd support betters that of GNR - by a long way. I'll definitely be back next year!

In full: For my first half marathon a bit of a challenge, but worth it as it certainly was challenging given all the hills and the heat.

In short: HIlly, Hot & Hard. No chance of a pb here. I was way off the mark with a full 12 mins outside mine. That could be my own fault though as I havn't run more than 3 miles in the last two weeks.
In full: HIlly, Hot & Hard. No chance of a pb here. I was way off the mark with a full 12 mins outside mine. That could be my own fault though as I havn't run more than 3 miles in the last two weeks. Crowd was brilliant as always & I say to everyone that it's the best support that i've come across during my running career.
Don't think i'll do it agina next year as no matter how hard I push I can't get anywhere near my pb and I can't help but feel dissapointed!

The finishers pack at the end of the race in second to none!

In short: Not for the faint hearted!!!
In full: All Potteries runs need to be treated with respect and this was no different. Long steep climbs in baking sunshine and with marvelous support. I need to lick my wounds and restore my aching calf muscles before thinking of returning next year!

In short: PLEASE SEE BELOW
In full: SUGGESTED MEDAL,FAILED TO SAY IT WAS ONLY FOR PEOPLE WHO RAN UNDER TWO HOURS,PARKING TOTAL MESS TURNING PEOPLE AWAY FROM THE NOMINATED CAR PARKS 45 MIN BEFORE THE START.
NO MARSHALLS DIRECTING YOU TO THE START WHICH WAS HALF WAY DOWN A HILL WITH NO CLEAR MARKER,TOTALLY BIZZARE.
NOT ENOUGH WATER STATIONS,EVERY HEARD OF A FIVE DAY F/CAST??
SUGGEST THE ORGANIZERS GET OUT AND LOOK AT SOME WELL RUN EVENTS AND BE MORE CLEAR ABOUT AWARDS...

NEVER AGAIN...

In short: Those hills don't get any easier
In full: This was my 2nd time and I hoped it wouldn't be as hot (wrong) and it would be easier because I knew all about the hills (wrong again). My training hadn't been all it could have been and I just missed out on a medal altough I think my chip time could just squeeze me under 2 hours. Once the again the support was second to none - ice pops, jelly babies, unnofficial drink stations, hosepipes and great encouragement. Well done to the people of Stoke. Will I do it again? Absolutely - I'm determined to get the better of those hills. One niggle is that given the sunny weather I wanted my well deserved botte of water first and not last!!

In short: Another great race.
In full: and again the weather was at the hotter end of the scale.
A great race my only gripe would be the crowding after the finish. Standing around for 10 minutes in a que for your freebies was not good, stiffing up and needing a drink.
