In short: Excellently organised and marshalled - tough in places but much more satisfying than a road race

In short: Really tough if you're used a nice undulating city half marathon, and the heat just adds to it. But real sense of achivement.

In short: A tough half marathon but well worth doing
In full: Great race. Unique and well run. Highly recommended but not for the faint hearted. Some of the hills go on forever.

In short: A tough race, but without being daftly so, and a wonderful challenge.
In full: It winds through a forest up and down Holmbury Hill through some wonderful scenery, notably the viewpoint at the summit at about 10 miles, with a field of about 200 runners of all abilities.
As an indicator of difficulty, I got within 8 minutes of my half marathon PB.
This year's race had the added fun of a missing direction marker at a key turning, which lost me a few precious places, but other than that a brilliant day out and one I would move holidays not to miss.

In short: Hard half marathon but through fabulous countryside. Off road with lots of ups and downs. Although takes place in July a lot of the course is shaded and plenty of water stops.
