In short: Really well organised as you'd expect, probably the flatest course they could manage and a PB so excellent!h

In short: Sheffield, like Rome, sits on 7 hills
In full: I was a student in Sheffield so entered this one to get to see some of my old haunts. Very well organised, nice to do a Great Run event where you could actually run as soon as you crossed the line (mind you I was in the first wave, it looked pretty packed in the later waves). Enjoyed it a lot although disappointed with my time, the inclines obviously affected me more than I realised. Let's just hope that the Great Run people don't do to this one what they've done to the Manchester race, eg 'Well that worked really well with 5000 people - so let's see keep pretty much exactly the same infrastructure and get 20000 people doing it next year!'

In short: Unexpected climb upto the half way mark.
In full: Very well organised, especially the start with groups leaving in 2 minute waves. No chaotic clambering for position through the crowds at most other race starts. Very good throughout.
One niggle, why couldnt Sheffield Council arrange free Supertram passes for runners. Quite a few were caught out without money. As I say, a minor niggle and no big deal. Otherwise, a good, well organised event

In short: Well organised inaugral event
In full: This was only my second 10k after the JT race and due to a problem with my chip in that race I had to start in green wave E as I did not have an authenticated time. I was worried about bunching as I moved up through the field but the staggered start made this a non existent problem except on the hill just before the petrol station. Everything was well organised with music and cheerers etc though the finishing area seemed small. I completed this course 3 mins 12 secs faster than the JT one but not sure if that is because it was easier or I knew more what to expect this time around. Will do again.
