In short: Simply the most fun I've ever whilst simultaneously being wet, muddy and in pain. Loved it!!

In short: Fourth time doing Hell down South and will be back in 2010!
In full: Another great race - helped by a beautiful sunny Sunday am. Course seemed slightly different to previous years - Hills of Hell turned into the Hills of Heaven as they seemed much shorter than in the past. Also - did anyone else record the race on their Garmin? I did and it came in at 9.45miles a little short of the supposed 10-12 mile distance. Regardless, was great and will be back in 2010 for fifth time.

In short: Hills........bogs and sand....a killer combination.....
In full: Another superbly run event and the weather was on our side for a change! Route was pretty much the same as last year but I am sure the bog was a little longer? ;-) Great atmosphere and it is even starting to attract the famous.....I started off shoulder to shoulder with Gordon Ramsey (soon blew him away though) :-) I am not sure if 'enjoyable' is the word, but in a sense it is, even with the burning thighs, freezing nether regions and exploding lungs. Will definitely be there for 2010.

In full: Great atmosphere at the start and while out on the course especially in the chest high water. Very steep muddy hills slowed everyone to a walking pace but made it far better than a normal road race. Don't try this if you want an easy run or hate mud and smelly water.

In short: marmite race .. loved it , hate it ..
In full: my 3rd hellrunner and love the hills , mud , bogs and the buzz of fellow runners . its one of those races you just have to come back to year after year ... however the organisers need to get the perfect balance .. last year the parking ( exit ) was a nightmare , this year was perfect with the split starts . last year was a great technical t-shirt this year was a cr*p cotton t-shirt ..organisers plz next year coz i know i will do it again , same split starts and a decent t-shirt or medal !! or both !! we deserve it after going through hell .....

In short: Mud, Mud Glorious Mud
In full: Brilliant race, great set up and top venue. Easy to get too, ample parking, set off on time. Course starts with a few flat miles before some gentle hills, then it's puddles, then they get bigger and bigger till your totally soaked, the famous Bog of Doom is fun but the final "Hills of Hell" are really soul destroying as they go on for ever. Great goody bag too, will be back again and again and again for this great value trail race
