In short: Good atmosphere, such a shame about the walkers and slow runners at the front
In full: Something really has to be done about the walkers and slow runners at the front of this event. Someone will get seriously hurt one day. I was hoping for a sub 1.39 and even had an orange number to state I was one of the quicker ones. Ended up with a 1.45 thanks to the inconsiderate fools who caused a danger to themselves and everyone around them by not starting from a realistic time point. The problems continued right up to the final mile. Not good enough!
Apart from that, the crowd were good and the travel organisation with Nirvana Europe was excellent. Probably won't do this again until they sort out the slow runners/walkers getting in the way, the timing chip and the water station signing.

In short: Agree with everyone else, dangerous.
In full: Fantastic atmosphere, but the start needs looking at, as it is dangerous. How about a 10am start for runners and 10.40 for walkers. This way everyone will be happy.

In short: Need to throw in top club runners with elite to make a decent ladies race
In full: A very pricey run. Ran a very miserable run in the elite ladies. All alone (literally) I ran a whole 4 minutes short of my 1.22 pb.The organisers need to think about the elite ladies run and how to bulk up the field of 80-85 min runners. The finish is poor too, with poor signposting and little thought of getting runners home safely and before midnight! After so many events, Nova, who are Newcastle based, MUST come up with better exit facilities and strategies
