In full: I invited 5 friends from Spain to run Bewl and like me they thought it was absolutely wonderful. Lovely scenery, top organisation and a really friendly atmosphere. Congratulations Wadhurst Runners.

In short: Well organised, friendly, scenic tough race that lives up to the well deserved reviews
In full: My first time out beyond half-marathon distance and a little nervous because of the reports of the hills and heat.
Decided to downgrade my target time of 2:05 and pleased to get round in 2:21.
Race incredibly well organised, with plenty of water given out as bottles with caps, which helped greatly in the heat. The hills at the end are tough however it does make it that more satisfying when finishing. Next year will bring picnic and family to fully enjoy the brass band.
Well done to everyone concerned.

In short: A fantastic, friendly albeit tough run!
In full: Didn't think about entering until Wednesday, but so pleased I did. What a glorious run! All marshalls were delightful - friendly and incredibly supportive all the way round. It was tough, but I was overwhelmed by how well-organised and picturesque the run was. Jelly babies, sponges and ample water stations helped enormously. Hills at the end were a killer - but loved cakes and brass band at tend. I came in the bottom third, so goody bags just had a box of cereal in - not complaining at all. Cakes and medal + warm welcome at the end were more than enough.
Would recommend highly and will definitely do it again.

Many thanks to all involved - a grand day out!

In short: Really tough; really good - worth all the pain!
In full: I have been wanting to do this race since I began running 4 years ago, and I wasn't in the slightest disappointed.

But boy was it tough! I was on track for my planned 2:40 until mile 9 and the hills. Then I suffered! I have never walked so often in a race, and as for climbing over the two stiles in those last, tough, miles - that was nigh impossible!

But I thoroughly enjoyed it, and will most definitely be back.

Unfortunately I was back too late (just on 3 hours) to catch the Brass Band who had packed and left by then, and I must have got a duff Goody Bag as all that was in mine was a cereal bar and a load of paper; certainly not "great" as others have described but a real let down. But that's of no consequence. The medal was real quality, the field a wonderful place to crash out in, the atmosphere was like a festival, the free massage was amazing, and the organisation was faultless.

Oh, and I must give my wife a mention who as always, popped up everywhere round the route shouting encouragement to one and all. She's the World's Greatest Supporter!

All in all one fantastic day out.

In short: Superb, faultless organisation & a very scenic, challenging route
In full: My second time at Bewl. The weather was almost identical to last year. Despite that, there is plenty of shade around the lake. Some challenging ups & downs in the last 5 miles. Fantastic scenery, fabulous cakes & entertainment and faultless organisation are all the right ingredients to make this one of the best events in a Runner's calendar. I've done a few, and none match this for the organisation. Superb! A credit to the Race Director and all those involved in making this an event not to be missed. Many thanks to them all. Just do the training and you can cope with the distance! I may be back
