In short: lovely hilly offroader on good tracks with good atmosphere but not requiring the same degree of masochism as the trionium halfs!
In full: really enjoyed this one today. course a bit drier than last year and hence faster. really excellent organisation and top goodies at the end make this one one of the best value for money events of all imho. i was looking foward to that badger beer for the last 3 miles and it certainly didnt disappoint. as far as i know this is the only morning race with beers at the end and so an ideal one for runners like me who get 'thirsty' on sunday mornings! some might say it's not a potential PB course due to the hills, but i ran my fastest time for years so can't be too bad. many thanks to the organisers, marshalls and other helpers for their splendid work and encouragement. see you at ashtead 10k in 2 weeks.

In short: Traffic free, challenging without being sadistic and all the hard work is in the first 2/3rds of the course

In short: Hilly
In full: Hilly, obviously both ways, but very enjoyable and scenic. Very well organised, with friendly marshalls and plenty of water stops.

In short: Well organised race. Great marshalling. Course is challenging and not one you would ever expect a PB from;it's just too hilly! Freebies at the end were a nice touch. Worth a look if you like a scenic tough course.

In short: Great race - one for the calendar
In full: Once again Alan and Nicky of Run to Live have pulled it off. Really smooth arrival, parking and collection of numbers, great course (yes, even including the hills), idiot-proof course marking, loads of marshals, well-organised water stations and enthusiastic spectators in various places, despite the isolated nature of most of the course. The finish was excellent - loads of support, a handshake from the race organiser and fantastic goodies, including a brilliant shirt and a bottle of tasty Badger ale (geddit?!). Great music at the end (including Dr Feelgood's 'Milk and alcohol' - what a classic), and a great feeling. Well done to all concerned.
If you want to do this race in years hence, sign up early - it will fill up early every time from now on.
