In short: Brass bands were an added bonus. Heavy rain overnight made it a wetter experience this year! Great fun as always.

In short: I was a first timer this year to off road racing and it definately won't be the last - Brilliant!
In full: Really didn't know what to expect of this race however the well seasoned runners were very welcoming. It was definately one massive team, with the support team and crowd very supportive and encouraging. Found the race itself demanding however the atmosphere carries you along and your soon on the homeward stretch. Even the bog of doom had a warm glow!! All in all a very well organised event, well worth the early sunday morning start. It even managed to put a smile on Gordon Ramsey's face!

In short: Fouth time & best yet
In full: My fourth hellrunner and the best yet in terms of organisation & conditions i.e. v. wwt, muddy but warm & sunny. A great day enjoyed just as much by my son in the little devils fun run. Overtaking & beating Gordon Ramsey was a nice touch (thanks Gordon!) but the real stars were the bogs, lake & numerous 'water features'. Not sure if I'm getting faster or the course is getting shorter/easier but this was a fast time for me in not the fastest conditions. Shouldn't be complaining though I guess. The only negative this year was the variable sizing of t-shirts (normally take a medium and a large fitted me like a rugby shirt! Took three attempts to find one that was big enough).

In short: Fantastic mix of mud, water, hills and distance
In full: 3rd year of doing Hellrunners and I think it's just got better. Excellent organisation and whilst it seems a pricey entrance fee for a cross country run I certainly feel I've had a great day.

In short: Great race, my third visit to the Bog of Doom!!
In full: I decided to go for it this time around and ran my fastest Hellrunner. I think I should have trained a little more for the hills but I still managed to knock 10 mins of my time from last year!! Was it shorter this year?
