In short: Fantastic organisation
In full: The organisation is fantastic, the Marshalls and aid stations all really supportive and friendly, great course, good quality technical tshirt and medal.... I don't think I can fault it. The guys that organise this should be very proud.

In short: Good organisation which good be better with just a few minor improvements
In full: First time I have run this marathon and I was impressed with the organisation. Plenty of space and parking at the beginning, set off on timeand a fast course. We were lucky with the weather as the grassy start may have been a disaster if there had been rain as running 26 miles on road with muddy shoes because of a 1/4 mile on grass at the beginning can't be anyones idea of fun. Also warm showers instead of the freezing cold ones would have made me give this race top marks for organisation, however it did mean that no body stayed in them for any longer than was absolutely necessary. Overall though a good, well organised race.

In short: Excellent, Friendly and perfectly organised.
In full: If you want to run a marathon you can't go far wrong with this one. The atmosphere and Organisation is world class. The crowd support is growing every year as the people of Chester and surrounding areas take the race to their hearts.
I find it a tough course that is going to hurt but hey it's a marathon it should hurt.
There is nothing negative to say about the Chester marathon it offers great value and a wonderful experience. even the goody bag is one of the most generous you'll find along with a good quality tech T shirt and a nice medal.
You can't go wrong

In short: Sets the standard for other marathons
In full: Had a brilliant day. A new PB and sub 3 so very chuffed. All helped by a really well organised event....from the fantastic marshalling to the baggage storage and kids events, just made the whole day for me. Will never forget it. They were lucky with the weather though - if had been wetter the race course mud may ruin things a bit.

In short: First marathon - definately won't be my last, a perfect intro
In full: Can't fault the organisation (despite the rain leading up to it the racecourse start/finish was runnable) and on the morning everything went like clockwork. Friendly atmosphere and great support all round from marshalls and the public.

In short: Great Organisation, Friendly Marshalls, Lots of Water, Isotonic and Gels
In full: I've done the old Chester Half Marathon and this is much more professional. Starting on the race course which is a flood plane is always a risk and any more water would have been a disaster. On comment - Would it kill you to put a few chairs out? I had to wait for my wife to finish and had to stand for 40 minutes or sit in wet muddy grass. No much of an option.

In short: Great race, great organisation, fantastic support from.
In full: There is never a lot to say when a race is well organised, a good route and well supported. My one negative would be the start and finish on grass i wasnt too keen on, wouldnt like to do it in bad weather (aka Gtr Manchester 2012!!)

In short: There was nothing they could've done better
In full: After the buzz of finishing in a pb was starting to fade i remembered that at least 3 volunteers came up and shook my hand after i had finished. That was such a nice gesture and made me feel very special. Names on number, magnificient. Closed roads, brilliant. I know you couldn't fix the weather but that was perfect too.
