In short: Great fun and a PB - what more could you ask.
In full: My first time at Carlisle but no problems with any aspect of the race for me. Parking before the race was no problem. Collection of race numbers went smoothly. Followed the crowd to the start, as I didn't know the way. There were plenty of toilets, but they were dotted around the site so took a bit of finding.
The race itself was very enjoyable and I liked the out and back route.

See you next year.

In short: As friendly as ever and sunny third year in a row!!!
In full: Great run if a bit crowded at the start, but apparently they're going to change the course (again) for next year. PS if anyone is feeling generous I'm running the Snowdonia for Cancer Research on the 27th Oct www.justgiving.com/chrislockley.

In short: Interesting fast course
In full: Find the start time of 12 o'clock a little late in the day - when do you eat! Start was confusing as could see runners 300 yards ahead and I hadn't started yet. One gent said to me that there goes his chances of crossing the line first. Once away from start - great run over varied surfaces. It was good to get to the park and go straight to the stadium rather than running around the outside of it as in previuos years. Overall a very friendly atmoshere. My wife enjoys watching this one much more than the bigger events.

In short: A pretty fair race.
In full: Quite a fair run. Out and back course which is 60% rural, 15% round town, and the remainder next to busy roads. It would have been nicer if more of the road had been closed to traffic. Plenty of water on the course. I've done it twice now, and got a PB both times. So certainly worth considering. Be careful though if you are looking for a quick start as it is quitre crowded for the first mile or two.
Very fair organisation, and the tartan track feels like carpet at the finish.

In short: Start was a joke, I had to stop and ask a marshall which way to go. Traffic control poor.
