In short: Good challenging course, well marshalled.
In full: Not one for PBs perhaps, but a good challenging course (much better than 2 years previously). Finish in Verulamium Park always good. Marshalls were excellent around the course and good to see plenty of water stations.

The only downside was the organisation at the finish. Ice lollies ran out very early and there was no food / energy drink available as part of a gooie bag otherwise (after this challenging course in hot weather just a banana would have been welcome).

In short: The course was a bit hilly for the first timer, but there were many people of the same standardd
In full: The race was well organised and joining was easy.

The course was scenic but, for the beginner (who unfortunately lives in a flat area), was a bit hilly.

The weather was warm 26 C with 60% relative humidity.

There were frequent water stops, though I do have to learn how to drink from plastic cups on the run.

The event was exceptionally well marshalled by people who really spurred you on to the finish.

There was a record entry this year of 2,400. This unfortunatelty led to the running out of the finishing "prize" ice lollies before I had been able to get there. That was a little disappointing.

It was difficult to get out of the car park, but in the weather conditions this just meant waiting in the park, in the sunshine.

In short: Hot and hilly - lots of water stations - good marshalling. Only let down by inadequate facilities at the finish.

In short: Well done to the Marshalls.
In full: I had a good race - finished in around 1.35 -no real problems for me at the finish but hen I waited around for about 1 hour relaxing - only to end up spending 1 hour to get out or the Car Park - the organisers should not let 2 your lads try to control it - it was unfair on them with a lot of people very stressed . Marshals were really friendly and were excellent cheerers.

In short: Scenic, hilly, hot and friendly!
In full: Pros: marshalling v good; lots of car parking; lots of water stations; started on time; good start pens; nice to have the running half, walking half and children's events on same day for a family day out

Cons: no water available at finish; signs to get to car parks non-existent; ran out of x-large t-shirts pretty early on

Overall: fantastic family day out and well organised. Give the organisers a break about the time to exit the car park, I'd rather queue to exit than drive round the streets looking for somewhere to park, like some events I've been to!

In short: Great event though the heat and undulations rule out a fast time. Great encouragement around the course and well organized. Ice-creams ran out early so none for those who needed them most boo-hoo!n
