In short: Beautifully organised race In full: One of the best races I've done. The organisation at the start was extremely efficient whilst appearing very relaxed.
A massive thank you to all the marshalls and supporters.

In short: Hard work but worth it In full: Impeccable organisation, excellent facilities at the start, including a car park 1 minute from the starting line. Great marshalling, withh very helpful support despite the atrocious conditions after 45 minutes or so. I was going well until the 5 mile mark when pain in my foot forced me to slow down, and the thunderstorm didn't help. I limped home 6 minutes outside my Reading time, to find the next day that I'd run the final 8 miles on a broken metatarsal. Quite pleased with the time in retrospect, disappointed with the 6-8 weeks out though.
All in all, very satisfied despite the injury. Will be back to do the race justice next year Date of review: April 29, 2008

In short: A top notch race every year. In full: Another year, another Bracknell Half and as superbly organised and marshalled as usual. I really enjoy this one, the mix of urban, industrial, rural, paths, roads and in one section riverside path always works for me. Shame it was wet as the finish, usually one of the best around, turned a tad muddy. But the rain didn't seem to dampen the enthusiasm of the marshalls, amongst the best I've encountered for encouraging runners, or runners. Splendid race and I hope Quintilles continue after the current deal expires (2010?). Do it before then in case it falls away and you'll have missed out on a genuinely terrific race. In short: Well organisednice friendly race In full: thanks to all the marshalls who stood out in the rain ( not to mention the thunder and lightening). They still managed to smile and cheer me on. Also thanks to the guy who helped me up Harvest Ride when I was flagging! Date of review: April 28, 2008

In short: Great organisation In full: Another PB at this event capped a great day. The organisation was brilliant, plenty of water stations with sponges. The course is through housing estates and the subways may break your rhythm slightly but the course is quite flat and fast. For those complaining of the gentle rise around 7-9 miles, they should have run the course 4 years ago when there was a really steep hill coming up to the 13 mile mark - that was a real test. In short: Fab race! In full: This was my half marathon and although I was nervous at the start I can hand on heart say I enjoyed every minute of this race. May be slightly too undulating for some and the 7 - 9 mile sections was fairly tough, but nevertheless thoroughly enjoyable. Superbly marshalled and excellent value for money. I also spotted every single mile marker, which is a first! Date of review: April 28, 2008

In short: PB by quite a long way!!! thanks Bracknell In full: hoorah!!! 11 half marathons and finally made it under 1:40 - by quite a way as it happened. Turned up to the race without my watch (I'd forgotten it rather than deliberatly left it at home) so decided to just run as quick as my legs wanted to run rather than what my head/watch dictated - and destroyed my pb by over 4 minutes and beat last years time by almost 7 mins...proves that it's all in the mind - I recomend running without timing. (and finished in the top 100 for the first time in any race!!!)
Well done to the organisers again - and to the supporters that braved the thunder storm...
Thanks Bracknell!!! Date of review: April 28, 2008

In short: Very well organised and friendly atmosphere but very dull sceneryy In full: The race was very well organised and friendly with the most efficient start I have ever experienced. Route was far more challenging than I expected but the scenery was a little dull (housing estates aplenty) given the amount of beautiful countryside just outside the town. Not many supporters around the course but those who were out were very generous with jelly babies for everyone! The rain was unbelievable and my glasses were almost impossible to see through at the end. Hope for better weather next year. Date of review: April 28, 2008

In short: Much more interesting course than expected In full: Too hot at the start and hideous rain after an hour but more than offset by a friendly, well marshalled race and a pleasantly challenging course. A well thought out route which avoided most of the main roads but didn't squeeze the runners into bottlenecks. A few nice long inclines made for a challenging course if going for a PB but this is preferable to pounding dual carriage ways for 13 miles. Will come back next year. Date of review: April 28, 2008

In short: Surprising good run and great marshalls In full: I was hoping for a nice flat road race so I could get a PB but it turns out the lovely Bracknell footpaths are actually quite hilly! Although not very intersting views, this is a very well organised race. Great marshalls, loads of water stations and not too many runners. Would run it again. Date of review: April 28, 2008
