In short: third time i've run it, and i'm sure it gets better every year In full: congrats to Dr Rob and the Roblets for sorting out another highly enjoyable jaunt up and down (and up and down and up and down and up and down and up and down and up and down) and all around Box Hill.
I've run it for the last three years, and I'll be back next year!
happy new year and god bless, the first nun home Date of review: January 1, 2012
In short: Had my Bells thoroughly Jingled ! In full: Great run, sets you up for the year, stunning scenery, great costumes and super atmosphere between the runners. Thanks to all the organisers and marshals, lovely goodie bag as well. Date of review: January 1, 2012
In short: A Brilliant Start to 2012! In full: Rob, and all his helpers - thank you. A great way to start the year. Huge fun, a great challenge but a massive grin for both conquering the Knacker Cracker and for such a fun event. Then a wonderful surprise when I just went to make a cup of coffee in my mug to find it heat reactive - superb! I love the t-shirt and medal too - knackered and just off to pull the final cracker of the festive season! Another Trionium Triumph - thanks again to all the team. Date of review: January 1, 2012
In short: Perfect start to the year and the 'olympic' course worked well. Thanks to Dr Rob and all the very encouraging marshals. Kids are on notice to get me up the stairs later. Date of review: January 1, 2012
In short: First olympic event of 2012 done In full: Washing machine now completing second olympic event of 2012. I knew that I shouldn't have worn my best suit! Great fun and a wonderful way to start 2012. Innovative 'extra half hill' bonus - just in case we still had some energy left to be sapped out of the legs. Fantastic cameraderie amongst the runners and great support all the way around from marshals. Felt sorry for the guy running with a snorkel for not getting the opportunity to try it out crossing the River Mole this year. By law of averages next year it should snow, put my name down now for the 10th Anniversary featuring the Juniper Top Cresta Run. Date of review: January 1, 2012
In short: Leave out the tarmac rubbish, its for woosies and really boring In full: Less of a challenge this year, 23% longer but only 9.5% more hill makes it 11% softer at 42.2m/km. The old course was full Cat A Fell Race standard at 47.5m/km - the only one I know of around here ! (The Box Hill Fell Race later in the month is only 44.5m/km so thats a Cat B Fell Race) Date of review: January 1, 2012
In full: A brilliant run- low-key, simple but excellent and effective organisation, tremendous atmosphere and support all along the course. Nice touch to have names with numbers so people could call one by name. The course- magnificent- and I preferred coming back up the steps to going down them! Date of review: January 1, 2012
