In short: The best organised race I've ever run!
In full: This race was fab! The organisation was superb- nice touch to have names on our numbers. Also: brilliantly supportive marshalls, fast course with just a couple of bumps to make it interesting, quality tech shirt and medal- brilliant goody bag, grandstand finish, traffic free roads, easy to leave car park afterwards, great mix of scenery- rural and the best of the city centre. Is that enough? :)

In short: Brilliant
In full: I enjoyed the new route of the Chester Marathon's second marathon. Last year I was 2nd but with the prize money being a wapping £750 it brought in the elite. The winner, Ben Fish, was a hard core runner.

I think I would have stopped at half way if it wasn't for the great support I had from my good friend Darren. Perhaps that should be the "Winner of The Week": supporters who go the extra mile.

The organisation was fantastic with extra special touches for all the finishers but also for elite finishers there was a separate starting area (no queue for the bogs), lovely post-race buffet and drinks etc.

Apparently I heard that the whole race raised £500K for charity which is brilliant too.

In short: Great mix of scenery and city, superb organisation and a classic finish!
In full: I really enjoyed this one. Good website and information ahead of the race, parked the car within 100m of the start. Nice idea to have he 'athletes' village' - not really an expo but a well-laid-out area with everything to hand. The actual race was very well organised and the route was a nice mix of the historic parts of the city and a pleasant romp out into the country. The return 13 miles seemed to be mostly uphill (!) but there was really good support in the villages and the finish in the racecourse grandstand was superb and very memorable. The excellent marshalling continued post-race as the runners were guided on a course taking in more drinks, goodie bags, photos, medals etc. I had a great day and will definately be back! Well done to all the organisers and the many groups who assisted with the drinks stations!!

In short: Last year was great, this was just brilliant!
In full: A brilliantly organised experience, the facilities on the racecourse fully utilised to make it easy for everyone to have a great day. The start was pretty smooth, a mixture of good support on the course and a few quieter sections where you knew you were in a tough race. The final section along the river and into the racecourse was great, but the run in to the finish line was a real buzz. The organisers really pulled in a lot of groups and clubs to provide support, Tattenhall Runners operated the best water/motivation station I've ever seen, and you have to hand it to the MBNA staff who were helping out, facing an uncertain future they were totally professional. A lot of races fall apart after the finish, but polite pro active crew directed runners to where they needed to be so there was no wandering around or queuing for ages for a shirt or goody bag. I really didn't want to come home!

In short: Well organised. Great support from public and marshalls.
In full: Really enjoyed the race. I thought the stsrt, water stations, finish all excellent. The mild undulations (like that phrase) made it a fair challenge. Support in the villages on return leg was grand.

In short: Fantastic Support and a fast course
In full: First full marathon and was very impressed with the amount of support. There were never any real gaps between spectators, making it a really good event.

Excellent organisation and the website/info pack provided all the details required.

As i said this was my first marathon and i managed sub 3 hours, proving the course is fast.
