In short: Harder than expected but will be back next year!
In full: Half Marathon:

Was led to believe that half marathon course was flat up until 8 mile marker when descents came in. Not the case! First eight miles continually uphill (granted not steep but unexpexted). Two descents near the finish totally finished me off resulting in a disappointing time.

I will definately be back next year for my revenge and will put in the training that this glorious course deserves.

A big thank you to all concerned.

In short: Well done to Ian Milne and his team. A good race overall. Very well organised. Found course challenging, but that was probably lack of preparation on my part showing through. I expect to be back next year and will be better prepared.
In full: My first marathon. It wont be my last and I'd like to think I'll be back next year. From comments on forum I'd expected hills to tail off at around mile 13. There seemed to be a few more after that, which took it out of me. Now I know what to expect I'll be better prepared next time.

In short: Nice not to hard off road course, well organised
In full: Lovely course on old railway tracks through the White Peak, prob 10 mins slower at least than on raod but not too hard course although three downhills in last 6 miles are hard on the quads.

Well organised and friendly, nice small field. Doing it again next time.

In short: Biased, as I'm a local anyway, but most uplifting race run all of last year. Some cheeky sections (thankfully) near the end.

In short: If you love big races with thousands of runners and spectators then this is not for you. Plenty of space to run, fantastic scenery. A race to inspire the most jaded runner.

In short: Fantastic marathon along former railway line turned cycle path in the Peak District. Not as tough as the name suggests, though not a pb course. Well worth the effort either as a serious marathon or a long training run in scenic surroundings.
