In short: Brilliant urban race, attracting good crowds In full: Challenging race with a few steep hills, but the cheering crowds and good size field make this one of the best half marathons in the country. Fantastic memories from today, especially from sprinting through the finish line to just get within 1hr30 to get a gold medal. Thanks to all the organisers, helpers and supporters - you're the Pride of the Potteries! Date of review: June 8, 2008

In short: Really tough race - the support and organisation made it worthwhile!e In full: This was the hardest race I've done or likely to do - the weather was boiling all day and combined with some absolute killer hills, added at least 10 mins to my best time at this distance. However, the atmosphere was first class all the way round, the race organisation was top notch and this race will challenge you like no other. Really glad I did it and pleased with the medal, plate and Tshirt - good value. Date of review: June 8, 2008

In short: Hot, hard and hilly with fantastic support! In full: I don't know what it is I love about this race! It always seems to be hot, the hills are challenging, but the crowds come out to cheer you on. You know you've run 13.1 miles ehrn you've done this one. Although perhaps a medal for all those poor souls who came in after the 2 hr mark would be nice in future... Date of review: June 8, 2008

In short: Very hill, hot, gr8 support, gr8 locallers. In full: My first Half Marathon, a bit tough although very rewarding. The local people made the day with their great support (the hose pipes spraying you was a huge luxury!). Their support pushed me to 1hr.55min and a unexpected medal. gr8 race and setup. Thank you. Andy. Date of review: June 8, 2008

In short: Hilly Hot race In full: Very hilly, hot weather, fantastic support. Lost sight of the start marker, just started running with the crowd. Fanastic support from a very generious crowd!!!!!!! Excellent support from first aiders, I needed them 3 times, for some strange reason suffered with cramp causing me to run my slowest race this year, missing out on a medal which was a huge disappointment, as I ran a pb two weeks ago of 1: 45.
