In short: Fabulous scenery and challenging course. Weather not as nice this year.
In full: Wonderful race, very satisfying and terrific scenery. Organisation was fantastic and will definitely be back next year. Only gripe is not getting a medal as my kids always want them and were disappointed!

In short: Hard but beautiful
In full: This was such a gorgeous race. Autumnal colours, just the right temperature, lovely quiet county lanes. The marshalls were wonderfully friendly. But it was REALLY tough, I definately needed the support to get round. OUCH - I ache this morning.

In short: Pretty but hilly!
In full: This was a very good race. The route was scenic and the marshalls were great, really friendly and very well organised. This race is one to enjoy really and, if your like me and find going uphill a bit tough, not one to try to get a PB at. I was 5 mins out of my average time nd 10 mins off my PB. Hills are very tough at mile 8 and 10, a fair few people walked at various points and actually seemed to be going faster than me!

A very nivce race overall and great for hill training!

In short: Has to be one of the UK’s top ½ road races? Tuff enough to be a good challenge but not too tuff to destroy all rhythm!
In full: Results service was fantastic! live results at the end and all results available on the web when I got home an hour later ;)

This is a great half that pushes you hard on rolling hills, thank goodness for the last mile being down hill. The sofa that had been parked just off the course at the 10 mile point was a bit cruel! Deliberately positioned by the organisers to tempt shattered runner or fly tipped? Either way it looked very appealing after the long hill at 8 miles… ;)

Mr Kodak - you need to cheer up!!!

In short: Probably best to cut your Half Marathon teeth somewhere else first
In full: I was warned about the 2 trecherous hills, but still didn't realise how tough they were. I finished in a 1hr50 time and on both hills at least 60% of the field were walking up them !!! Never seen that yet on a road race - great training for the calves :)
The marshalling was 1st class, they were helpful and had loads of information.
Nice to have a downhill finish, just when it was sorely needed. Start and finish location was nice.
Cons - first 2-3 miles was very busy which made pacing difficult. Also, the two floods didn't help, so I had soggy toes for quite a while.
Other than that, great race and I'll do my best to get back next year.

p.s. Hope the guy who had a Cardiac Arrest recovers soon. Best wishes to him and his family.
